If you heal the body it will not last unless the person has stopped doing what they did to make the body ill. When you heal the spirit you "shift" the consciousness of the person to heal them from the inside out. For example...

If a person is stressed-out they might go to a massage therapist to relive the pain and stiffness caused by the stress. The therapist spends an hour relaxing the muscles. The pain is gone. But, when the person gets off the massage table they tighten up and the healing of the body did very little.

If the person gets a spirit healing the healing works on changing the reason why the person is stiff in the first place. It removes the stress so the person can remove the problem (the stress) instead of removing the effects of the problem(the pain).

Spiritual healing comes from an internal sources and most medical healing methods come from an external source.
