Andrewsarchus lived during the late Paleocene to early Eocene epochs, around 56 to 34 million years ago. It inhabited a variety of environments, primarily in what is now Mongolia, which included open plains, forests, and possibly river valleys. This large, wolf-sized mammal likely thrived in warm, humid climates, where it would have had access to diverse prey and vegetation. Its adaptations suggest it was a versatile predator or scavenger in these ecosystems.
