Why do men have a higher metabolic rate than women?

For a few reasons.... 1) Men tend to be larger than women, so their bodeis require more energy just to live (pump blood, get oxygen, move, ect.) 2) Men tend to be more ctive then women. Think, women turn to talking for fun with friends, men play a pick-up game of Basketball.
