Is the hal tejas a fourth generation aircraft or a mig 21 plus?

Both HAL Tejas as well as Mig21 are old rated aircrafts. HAL Tejas has been prepared by the Hindustan Aeronautical Limited for the best use of trainees and all. Mig21 in Indian Air Force has been grounded a long back ago. Both the planes don't match up with fourth generation.
