Judy Garland was awarded a minature statuette for her outstanding performance for a juvenile during the past year.
But, the Champ this year was, "Gone with the Wind." It received 13 Nominations (a record it held until 1959, when "Ben-Hur" came along).
The film took 8 Academy Awards home, and held the record for any motion picture winning the most Oscars, again, until 1959, when "Ben-Hur" walked away with 11 Oscars.
