How do you transplant a young cherry-blossom tree?

Dig it up from the ground carefully so the roots are not damaged. Dig another hole that is deep enough and wide enough. Add amendments if needed such as peat or compost. Backfill with existing soil and some new garden soil. Water well.

Only do this when the leaves are off.
