I had this problem with my 1992 Buick Roadmaster. I noticed one day my Power Steering pump was not using bolts to secure it anymore. Is was simply 'floating' in the mounting bracket. So I reinstalled the bolts needed. At that point, it started shredding the serpantine belts. After several belts, and many attempts to realign it, I loosened all the bolts again and started the engine up. As soon as I verified no shredding was taking place, I marked the position of the hardware, shut it off, and secured it as marked. Part of the problem was the bracket to the left side of the engine block (5.7L) that had to be removed to allow realignment. I just replaced the engine with another 5,7L. Belt is shredding again. Is it illegal to 'discharge' a firearm in the city limits to kill an automobile?
