How did patol babu completely get over his apathy?

Patol was promised a speaking part in a Bengali film by Naresh dutt,but on reaching the set he found out that his role was as good as a walk on part. Patol is immensely disheartened, he feels as if he has been cheated. But just as he is about to give up hope he remembers the valuable Words of advice given to him by his mentor Gogon Pakrashi:

Never consider it below your dignity to accept a certain role.

These Words help him reconcile with his role and get over his apathy.
