1) Open the cover under the glove compartment 2) Deep inside (very close to the fabric covered wall towards the engine) there's a cover for the filter. Open it. 3) Pull the filter out 4) Crush in the new filter

That's it. I did it DIY because I could not schedule a trip to the dealership which ridiculously operate only on weekdays when I have to make money. Also it's much cheaper if you buy from Amazon or eBay.

That was a bit simplistic, especially Step 2.

1) For a first-timer, you may want to remove the glove-box. There are 8 phillips screws (3 above, 3 below, and 2 deep inside), plus a plastic trim piece that forms the right side of the "dashboard", and pries off.

2) The filter box is in the very center of the vehicle, in line with the center console, and very close to the firewall. There is a vertical cover, about 7" tall and 1" deep that has a single latch at the bottom. You cannot see the top half of it.

3) Reach in and get as close as you can to the top of the filter and compress the top edge about a half inch, and pull it out to the right. It will come out without you doing that, but will be mangled and may spill its contents inside the filter box, or on the floor.

4) When pushing the new filter into place, be sure that it clears the top tab, and is fully seated, before you clip the door back on.

5) Re-install glove-box and dashboard end.
