Life for Jewish people in Germany during World War II was hard. People died because of their beliefs and decided to go into hiding. Food was scarce and unless you had someone who was non-Jewish to help you, you would have died. The main source of food for people in hiding was the black market, where prices were extremely high and you would be considered lucky if you had enough money to buy food.
