Mount Damavand, the highest peak in Iran, is estimated to be around 1.8 million years old. It is a stratovolcano that has formed through various volcanic activities over this extensive period. Its last significant eruption is believed to have occurred approximately 7,300 years ago. The mountain is part of the Alborz mountain range and holds significant cultural and natural importance.
