How much is the weight of a Chevy 350 long block engine?

I weighed one recently, and kept a record of the weight of the components and assembly.

Complete 350 w/alum heads and intake, water pump, alt., carb, dist. No starter, no water 451 lbs

An engine with iron heads would be 40 pounds more, iron intake is an additional 25 pounds. So...it all depends.
