What does it mean work is the curse of the drinking class?

probably it means that "drinking people" use to complain about their work more than others, since it's hard to wake up in the morning, go to work , let alone that the have to work there.( when they are drunk or feel hangover). Consequently they think that "Work" is a main problem , not "drinking".
