Who was governor before strickland?

Before Ted Strickland, the governor of Ohio was Bob Taft. He served from January 2001 until January 2007. Taft, a member of the Republican Party, was the 67th governor of Ohio, and his tenure focused on education reform and economic development. Strickland succeeded him after winning the election in 2006.
