google+ is google's own social media platform that allows users to connect in 'circles' and show appreciation via a +1. Originally the social site struggled to gain popularity however since the onset inclusion of social signals within search engine optimisation and the realisation that google was naturally set to give its own social site prominence; G+ has witnessed significant growth.
