But you might not want to say "Watashi WA emo desu," because you are essentially saying, "I am a potato." When I was in Japan, they told me that when you call someone an "emo" in Japan, you are essentially saying that they dress like a country bumpkin, and their fashion sense is poor, to say the least. It simply doesn't translate.
The closest I can come up with is something called "harajuku keitai." Harajuku is an area in Tokyo where people with various styles, like gothic lolita, cosplay, visual kei (the crazy J-rock look), etc. hang out. But I'd be hesitant to call myself that unless I actually hung out in Harajuku.
