How do you adjust the valves on a 1994 Chevy 4.3 v8?

For someone with little mechanic knowledge: run the nuts till they all (ALMOST) touch, turn the motor about A quarter of A turn, run the ones that got loose, Do this about 5 or 6 times. Then start the motor and SLOWLY tighten them till they quiten down, ONE AT A TIME. STOP TURNING AS SOON AS THEY BECOME QUIET, Once they are all silent, Go over each one, Loosen it till it clicks, and retighten ONLY till it quitens again. When all are EVEN and barely tight, Turn each one between A quarter turn and A half. CLOSER TO A QUARTER.
