How is sriram's ias coaching?

In the new GS format, Sriram IAS has not been able to update itself. The new teachers for the new syllabus are pathetic. Their study material is bad, and that too just photocopy stuff. There is no proper sequence of subjects that is taught and it all depends on the availability of teachers rather than its utility at that time. You will like not coming to class at all after some time. I am not sure how students feel in other coachings but here it's not worth the money. The worst thing is that same teacher can teach many subjects like jack of all trade and master none. I think only worth is the classes of polity, geography - 50% and history - 60%. For 4th paper you get neither good material nor good teacher. Overall they are good for nothing more than 30-40 % of GS syllabus. I will also suggest against prelims cum mains format which is only to mint money. You never know what is there for prelims and what for mains. Vajiram material is good. I do not know how they teach but at least rankers come from there. There must be some reason for that.

This is wrong. The senior faculty of Sriram's did well and majority of the questions that came in the examination were discussed . Sriram sir 's picks in polity, economy and current events figured well. discussions about frbm, tax expenditure statement, etc were bang on. most importantly, the personal attention students got is a highlight. i am not a student of Vajiram and so i cant talk genuinely. But my room mates, flat mates from Vajiram and Ravi were crying. people's expectations from vajiram were so low. even then they got disapointed. what i noticed is students are excited till vajiram classes begin. once they begin, they are shocked at the sub-standards.

I am a college lecturer residing in old rajinder nagar delhi. my children are interested in joining coaching. that is how i have been making enquiries in the city.

Preliminary and mains are integrated. The two can not be separated in knowledge terms. Exam pattern however is different. It is always a boon if there are great teachers to guide This is the toughest examination.
