Why do we have to protect tigers?

Because once they are all gone, they cannot be retrieved. Currently, there are only eight Rhinoceroses left in the WHOLE WORLD and only one of them is a male. THAT species is doomed to extinction. 'Lonesome George', a Galapagos turtle, is VERY old, and there are NO KNOWN FEMALES in existence. HIS species is doomed.
