How do you get a lighthouse in Animal Crossing?

In order to get the light house in your town you have to donate 1,000,000 bells to the town fund. I do have a list of things you CAN also get

Bridge: Donate 100,000 bells < (Um... No. It's 200,000 Bells -Hollie)

Fountan: Donate 500,000

Windmill: Donate 1,000,000

Once you donate 1,000,000 bells you do a vote on building the windmill or the lighthouse. You have to make a good choice because you can't do it again.
