How do they call guns swords in romeo and Juliet film?

In the 1996 Baz Lurhman film, whenever the text talked about sWords, people pulled out guns. Sometimes this was explained by showing a closeup of the gun where it is shown that "sWord" or "longsWord" is the brand name of the gun in question.
