I just found a coin with the text 1947 Repvbliqve francaise 5 franc. Can anybody tell me something about this coin. Is it a rare one so valueble?

I have the same coin that my grandmother gave to me. The only thing that I can tell you is that they were made across the country when the war was going on(not sure which war). They were using all of the metal for the soldiers, and so the coins that they made were not, the one that you have should be made out of some kind of plastic feeling material, if it's the same one I have and think it is. sorry I can't be more of a help.
