How come there are so many know-it-alls on one site?

Wikianswers is a place for the exchange of information, people from all over the world ask and answer questions here.

Some people know a lot about one thing and others know a little about a lot of things, someone who answers many questions is not necessarily a know it all, just generous with what they do know.
