What part of the US do shrews live?

Shrews are found throughout much of the United States, inhabiting a variety of environments from forests and grasslands to wetlands and urban areas. They are most commonly located in the eastern and northern regions, although some species also exist in the western states. Their preference for moist habitats often leads them to be found near streams, ponds, and in dense vegetation.
