How can you get the motor cover open on a Graco Sweet Peace Soothing Center swing?

You don't, it's not meant to be serviced. You can cut it open and then glue it. Our motor connector fell into the base, so we complained to Graco and they sent us a replacement, but not until after I'd fixed the old one. The new motor is taking up space in our garage, you're welcome to have it.
