How did Beowulf get his name?

The elven gods of anthropolis bestowed upon him his great and fanbastulous title. They decided the name "Beowulf" was befitting because his hairy mane that was covering his entire body as a young babe. it was originally baby wolf until they decided wtf does that mean lets call him beowulf. unfortunately they were all drunk out of their minds and thunceforth had no idea what was going on and thats why beowulf is stuck with his name
