I know they eat zooplankton which are microscopic orgainisms that live in water. I have caught several jellyfish and am feeding them by supplying them with fresh lake water.

Freshwater jellyfish typically eat zoo plankton from the water column. Using their nemocysts, they sting prey in the water, stunning it and allowing for easy entry into the animal's body.
