Who created mercury?

The chemical Mercury, previously called "hydrargyrum" and sometimes called Quicksilver. The element was found in Egyptian tombs dating back to 1500 BCE. The Chinese believed that Mercury caused unending life and its first emperor, according to legend, is buried on land that contains rivers of mercury.
