How was the main conflict in new moon solved?

Edward rescues Bella from the bad vampire James who bites her and then he saves her by 'sucking' out the venom from the bite and therefore saving her. Once Bella has recovered but still has her leg in a cast, Edward takes her to the school prom were they dance together. Happy endings Hooray :D of =]
