What Hair Extensions Can I Color?

Synthetic hair extensions cannot be colored. 100% human hair extensions can be colored, but only darker or the same color.

It’s easier to purchase lighter hair extensions and dye them darker, rather than lifting a dark tone to a lighter shade. Semi-permanent colors are less invasive and will achieve a similar color effect without damaging your hair extensions. If you’re looking to dye your hair extensions more than two shades darker, pre-pigmenting might be required to ensure you get the right shade.

It’s best to color your 100% human hair extensions before they are installed on your head. This will allow you to get a better color placement. Coloring your extensions whilst you are wearing them could lead to dye getting on your natural hair.
