What does aggravated sodemy mean?

Sodomy is the penetration of anything other than a penis into a vagina. Anal and oral sex are considered sodomy. Many states still have laws against sodomy, though they would not be enforced if the acts are between two consenting adults. If a person rapes another by committing these acts he can be charged with sodomy.

Aggravated sodomy is the commission of the acts mentioned above, either with an object or fingers, or as such causing injury to the victim. It is also known as capital sexual battery.
