To remove the wiper arm on a 2008 Chevy Impala, first lift the wiper arm away from the windshield until it is in a vertical position. Locate the small plastic cover at the base of the wiper arm and gently pry it off to expose the nut underneath. Use a socket wrench to remove the nut, then wiggle the wiper arm back and forth while pulling it upward to detach it from the wiper shaft. Repeat the process for the other wiper arm if needed.
