Why do dogs bring you their toys when you come home?

I have always heard they do this as a means of showing that you are dominant. If you are the Alpha dog in the home, then all other dogs in your "pack" would see you as their leader. Yep, your dog thinks you are a dog. Or, you could just think of it as your dog showing you how much he/she loves you!
