Yummy Yummy Yummy is a bubblegum pop song first released by Ohio Express in 1968. It was subsequently release by many other groups including the 1910 Fruit Gum Company and the all girl punk rock band L7.

There has been much speculation as to the meaning of the lyrics. Some claim it is is an innocent expression of the "warm fuzzy" feeling we can get when we are in love, others believed it was a reference to pregnancy while yet others believed it to be a hidden reference to oral sex and ejaculate.

I cannot find any comment by Arthur Resnick or Joey Levine, who coauthored the song, to explain what they meant, but Floyd Marcus, drummer for the 1910 Fruit Gum Company, says it had no hidden meaning, that people seem to always want to find more in a song than is there.

This song was commissioned by Niefeld, Paley and Kuhn Advertising in Chicago, IL as a possible jingle for Wyler's grape drink. Bill Ries, the account rep, played the song for the client and the client politely said they hated it. There is only as much hidden meaning in the song as the agency was willing to pay and they really didn't pay that much.

The intent was to sell a drink mix. Wyler's had marketed lemonade mix for several years and was expanding their line, probably intending to compete against Kool-Aid.
