The world's heaviest person in history was Jon Brower Minnoch. His heaviest recorded weight before put into a hospital was 442 kg (975 lbs) in September 1976. Minnoch was admitted to University Hospital, Seattle, in March 1978, where they calculated that he must have weighed more than 635 kg (1,400 lbs).
