Yes, the Rhino is endangered. Four out of the five species of rhinoceros are considered threatened with extinction: the
Javan rhino (no more than 48 left), Sumatran (200 left), Indian or greater one horned (2,800 left) and black rhino (about 4,200 left). The white rhino has made a stunning recovery from fewer than 200 animals in the early 1900's to more than 18,000 today, thanks in large part to the concerted efforts of conservationists and local governments.
