To find out the year of your gale outboard motor?

I have inharieted a boat with a gale motor. I am interested in what year it is? The horse power? the model # GG8834a and the serial # is 06x784468.

My friend passed and he was a boat repair man and this motor runs Excellant. all the chrome and decals were removed and painted camoflage. I also have a 1954 certury sportsman with the original 25 hp evenrude. This is a beautiful all original wood boat. it was always stored inside. I have it for sale.
