Why do your ipod touch say safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet on your ipod touch?

The reason Safari says it cannot open a page because it is not connected to the internet is because.... it cannot open a page because it is not connected to the Internet.

(i.e. you don't have an internet connection - check your WiFi status in your iPod Touch "settings")
