What do you do if your dog has had a tick in the past?

i found a tick on my dog and i drowned the sucker in my freaking toilet so ha i found a tick on my dog and i drowned the sucker in my freaking toilet so ha
This is probably going to be really painful but you HAVE to do it. you do NOT pull it out!!!

1. hold dog down

2. light a match and blow it out

3. immediatly after blowing hold the tip of the match onto the tick

4. slowly pull tick out with tweezers MAKE SURE YOU GET ITS HEAD OUT!!!

if you dont get the head out the ticks head will still live and crawl into your dog. if this happens then immediatly see a vet
