I usually feed my baby ball python 1 LIVE mouse every 2 weeks.I don't know why people say its not good.if its not good than why do people sell mice that our suppose to be for snakes

A baby ball python should be started on rat pups as it's very difficult to switch them to rats, they are very finicky eaters. When they get bigger it's going to take a LOT of mice to feed them. My adult male is 3.5 ft long and could easily take 6 mice in one sitting without even getting a lump in his belly. As it is, he eats 2-3 medium rats every 2-3 weeks. If you want to feed live, that's your choice just watch until your snake begins eating so the mouse or rat does not kill your snake. You will have to deal with scars though. It would be cheaper to buy frozen/thawed since pet stores are trying to discourage buying their rats and mice for snake food by making live mice and rats unreasonably priced. You can buy f/t in bulk and they will last longer. A few months rather than a few days or weeks (when a rat/mouse will become too large for you snake).
