Why should you care about blood diamonds?

Unless you have been kidnapped and are being forced to dig for diamonds in a stream or in the earth, under threat of death or dismemberment, or the death or mayhem aimed at your family, you may not be required to 'care' about blood diamonds.

If, however, you are buying a diamond, you can demand a Kimberly Certificate, so that you are assured that the diamond you are buying has not been found by people like those described in the paragraph above.
