What is brachioradialis?

this muscle is one among the 7 superficial extensor muscles of the postertor compartment of the forearm.

this is otherwise known as the supinator longus.

functionally it is a flexor of the elbow but it is grouped under extensor muscles.

this muscle forms a fleshy bulk along the lateral border of the forearm. it forms the latersl boundary of cubital fossa.

supplied by radial nerve.

it acts as the flexor of the elbow joint.
