No, it will not stop you from obtaining it. However just as an FYI. on a recent trip to Victoria BC, the group we were on the boat with were made aware that Canadian Customs and Immigration is currently making it difficult for those convicted of DUI to enter their country. You might want to check into this if your travelling includes our neighbor to the north.
