What do opossums act like?

Opossums are generally solitary and nocturnal creatures known for their calm demeanor. When threatened, they often "play dead" as a defense mechanism, a behavior known as thanatosis. They are also scavengers, feeding on a variety of foods, including insects, fruits, and small animals.
