Where can you find lunar moths?

In any forest in the eastern US. They are attracted to lights, but generally they don't fly until after 11:00 PM. Setting up a light back in the woods during the summer will often attract them. On a good night, it is not unusual to attract several dozen of them. Many people think they are rare simply because they do not go out Into the Woods with appropriate light bulbs to attract them.
