What ship was Kitchener on when he drowned?

Lord Kitchener was on board the HMS Hampshire when he drowned on June 5, 1916. The ship struck a German mine off the Orkney Islands while on a mission to Russia during World War I. The explosion caused the vessel to sink rapidly, resulting in the loss of Kitchener and many crew members. Only a handful of survivors were rescued from the disaster.
