In twilight is Jasper really shy?

Jasper isn't exactly shy, he is just quiet. He has always been quite a reserved charactor, even before becoming a vampire, which becomes clear when he is talking about the great vampire wars of the south,(in Breaking Dawn). So to answer your question, he has always been that way. Hope this helps!!
