1. Are any speeds Working
Yes - High Only Probably Blower Resistor Easier to remove is you remove the recirculation motor first - very Easy remember after removing two screws holing the recirculation motor push against firewall foam rubber insulation to remove so as not to break the Shaft.
Then unscrew resistor if burned replace High Speed does not go through the resistor. if Speed III is burned speeds 1 , 2, 3 all go out.
2. High Speed does not work. Could be simple or serious.
a. Check relays with by switching like relays if the donor circuit fails - bad Relay if no change other problem
b. Check 40 amp fuse under hood if fuse bad replace if fuse good
c. Disconnect negative terminal from battery then. . . Pull frame from around AC radio Start From bottom - snaps out (I always warm slightly with a hair dryer before removing -Less change of breaking a brittle plastic part) Then Remove 2 screws holding radio in. Then . . . Pull radio Forward disconnect antenna and connectors to radio (this is easy and each is unique so you can not reconnect incorrectly. Then . . . If you did not disconnect the battery Negative terminal DO IT NOW!!!. There is a black connector held to the AC Chamber by a spring clip. If the thick wires are Black, Bright Yellow and Bright Orange wires are good if any part of the wires are darkened You may have an issue.
3. Squeeze the interlock and separate if the connector will not separate. You have found the problem. IF they separate (Did you Disconnect the Negative Battery Connection) closely inspect both male and female connectors if either is burned, melted or heavily oxidized, you need to replace the Ac Harness Easy it's one piece after connector and replace the connector coming from the main wiring harness. When replacing the connector from the main harness hire an automotive electrician to solder the wires and insulate the connections bypassing this connector entirely. Remember the yellow, orange and black wires carry 40 amps. 40 Amps can start a fie or destroy delicate electronics in your cars computer system, or injure/Kill you.
