Can you kill bedbugs by putting bedding in the freezer for 20 minutes?

I was reading that you need to put your bed sheets and stuff a whole day in

the freezer to kill bed bugs.

I think the same time will do it for your sweater.

Bed bugs don't like extreme temperatures cold and hot.
