A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado check engine light comes on can this be caused by a dirty fuel filter you have 10500 miles on it?

It is still under the factory warranty. Take it back to the dealer!

I have a 2005 silverado 4x4 and my engine light comes on when I put 89 octane gas in it but when I put 93 octane in it the light goes off and stays off. Also gas with Ethenol well make it come on.Once you get the Ethenol mixed gas out, it will go off.
